DH was diagnosed as early as 12 years old of having a diabetes. Diabetes runs in their family- all male members carry it, his Dad, brother and him. He was even given a warning by his eye doctor that if he wouldn’t take care of his eyes, he would be blind when he reaches 24. Thank Goodness that at 32, he still can see but now wears a prescription eyeglasses. I would often remind him of  his responsibilities on his health condition.

One of the few things that we are cautious about is his diet.  He’s been a carefree eater now and would say that it’s ok to  over eat  because he’s taking shots of Insulin. very bad I know! He’s been complaining the past few days of finger joints pain. I told him that he should consult his doctor asap and see as it might be arthritis and if indeed it is, he could immediately get treatment for arthritis so that it could prevent from developing any further damage to his health.
