On Playing With Musical Instruments

Written by on January 28, 2012 – 11:14 pm -

Nurturing the kid’s natural talent is important for them to be able to show off or express themselves well. Aside from playing as their activity during spare time, enrolling them into recreational activity classes like sports, voice lessons, art related works etc. is a good and healthy activity for them to explore and discover their full potential.

So when our daughter told us that she wanted to learn playing musical instrument this summer. DH suggested enrolling her into piano lesson. So off we went to a musical store to look around for a piano. We found kurzweil sp4-8 piano with lots of enhanced feature and of quality in terms of sound. I myself used to dream of learning to play the piano but for some reasons, it didn’t push through.  I hope that dear daughter will remain her passion for it.

A Relaxing Garden

Written by on February 14, 2010 – 5:11 am -

Next in line for our house makeover is the garden area, it has been the most neglected part of the house now. DH told me that it really looked so great when her mom was still alive then since she was the one who has the passion when it comes to gardening.  As I looked at the picture of it then, I can’t help but feel for its lost beauty. Gone were the orchids, bonsai, bermuda grass, nice plants and flowers, what’s left now are mostly dried plants that have been watered rarely, no more orchids, the bermuda grass were replaced by a carabao grass, fish pond’s empty where it used to have lots of fishes back then. First things in line was to clean up area, cut out tall grasses, fix broken pots for the plants and flowers, redecorate the area and put up some nice accessories like wind chimes,  that is very appropriate for our garden area.

These chimes would definitely add up spice to a very dull garden as it produces nice and different harmonious sound that soothes our ears. Its another form of relaxation. If you are very tired and weary, you can just sit back and relax at your garden area while the wind blows and you could hear your dinner bells chimes and gives that soothing effect and releases that negative thing out of you.

Personally, I want  some bamboo wind chimes like the one above I saw at outdora.com since we will be incorporating lots of bamboo designs for the garden. The bamboo signifies being able to adapt at different situations as it just sways to where the direction of the air is, and it represents a very nature like effect that will definitely gave the garden that perfect nature look complete with nice sounds from the chimes.

The Singing Bowls

Written by on November 1, 2009 – 10:52 pm -

If you would look and go back to our ancient history, you will see the wonders of our musical instruments that old people uses back then. Be amazed at how they were able produce music at instruments that you can just see everywhere and wouldn’t think that it will produce an incredible music. Despite being in an advanced technology now, there is no doubt that our past history in musical instruments can not be compared to ours now.

Have you heard of the Crystal Singing Bowls in Tibet? Specifically the quarts crystal singing bowls which are made 99.9 percent pure quartz crystal, a naturally occurring element that produces solid bad pure tones and is said to be used in meditation and healing practices that gives favorable output to the ones who uses it it is very therapeutic and produces relaxation and is said to heal some organs that restores an ailing organ by projecting the sound into the body which helps to return the organ to a healthy resonant frequency. You may visit www.silverskyimports.com to see other tools needed for the singing bowls and other products that they offer such as the Nepali gongs and Malas beads, Felted wool bags and Tingshas or Tibetan chimes, they are historic products that I think are very rare and hard to nowadays as it has been a great part of an old history.
