My Girl
Written by on April 28, 2010 – 11:15 am -I recently watched a movie on tv that I should have saw many years earlier. I had just sat down after a long day and decided to see what was on. We had just recently moved and had our cable tv hooked up , so it had been a while since I had watched much of anything. To my surprise the first channel I flipped on was showing the opening credits to a movie. It was an older movie, I could tell by the picture quality. Nevertheless, I kept on watching. The next thing that I knew I was completely caught up in a story about a young girl and her friendship with a certain little boy. This boy was played by a very young McCaulley Caulkin. I had thought that I had seen every movie that he was in , but this one must have slipped past my radar. This was an extremely touching story about growing up and the reality that you never know what may happen in your life. I was so moved by this movie, I cried like a baby. I was so shocked that I had never saw this. When my mother arrived to help me unpack some boxes , she was somewhat alarmed. I was setting on the sofa with tears streaming down my face. It took me quite a bit of convincing to get her to believe that I had just watched a very sad and moving movie. I insisted that she rent it also and the next night she called me sobbing just as bad, if not worse , than I was!
