A Short Play

Written by on August 29, 2011 – 5:59 am -

My daughter is busy preparing for their upcoming short play in their school. She has been practicing everyday with her little brother all the lines she’s going to say in the play. I, on the other hand is busy looking around for an equestrian apparel that she’s going to wear in their short play activity in the school. We’ll be heading off to a costume boutique later near our parents place and see if they have one and hope that it will fit my daughter’s extra small size. We can’t wait to see the little girl on stage!

Kids’ School Fundraising Ideas

Written by on September 16, 2010 – 2:03 am -

I was checking out my daughter’s school diary and I saw a note from their teacher asking all of the parent’s to attend a parent-teacher meeting by the end of this week. Some things to be discuss are the grading system, kids progress during the first trimester and some other school activities and we need to talk about some School fundraising ideas. Being a catholic school graduate myself, I know how things go around as we used to do those stuffs during my time when I was still a student. We would often do the newspaper drive, going around some offices to solicit newspaper and even do some creative artworks for sale to raise funds, but that was the good old days as things now are better with the modern technologies available.

Looking around the net, I saw some fundraising ideas on Uncle Jerry T’s that I can share with during the meeting, They got different products such as t-shirts, towels, mugs, jewelry, candles, bags, household items, cars and gift bags that are all made up of nice designs and materials that will definitely gain a lot of sales and will be very useful tools as school fundraiser material. Stuffs like this are important in creating a worthwhile activity for the students.

Kid’s Schooling Update

Written by on August 12, 2010 – 3:08 am -

I noticed that  I haven’t made any updates on the kid’s schooling activities since the opening of classes few months ago. I am happy to note that they are both doing good in school.

On Gab

  • She has finally adjusted to the big school environment and was able to catch with her other classmates though she seems to be the smallest and youngest in their class.
  • Been receiving a lot of smiley’s and excellent of her diary everyday ( but I just saw  :( remark yesterday and she told me she was talking in a low voice with her seatmate. LOL.
  • Her school assignments and projects are sometimes really time consuming as it requires lots of research and are crafty at times, we were already anticipating and preparing on where to get costumes for some of their recreational activity like Linggo ng wika program , Halloween, Christmas parties.. etc..  I just hope their costumes are only easy to find like sexy costumes that are very common in rental shops. :D
  • She can now manage to fix and prepare all her school things everyday without my help.

Nicco

  • Still very eager to do his assignments.
  • is now fully adjusted to his early morning class schedule ( he no longer makes sungit when it’s time to take a bath. :D )
  • Still needs attention when eating as he usually makes a mess during their recess time as per the teacher’s assistant remarks
  • Now makes excuses, either he’s sleepy or so tired (as if!) when asked to practice his writing. in short- tamad magsulat! lol

First Day High

I am not yet done with organizing and sorting out of tons of photos from our digicam and PC. I am way behind with my photo book projects :( . This photo of my the little girl was taken on first day of their classes where parents were allowed to accompany the students to their classrooms. This was also a good chance for us to move around the school and check out their facilities and meet up their teachers. Came after class, little girl excitedly shares her experiences and we were so glad that she enjoyed her new school. They were told of  some rules and regulations when inside the school and room premises like no bringing of toys, ipods, cellphones on classes. Though I noticed that some of her classmates already have their own cellphones already. Well I think its too young for their age to have one, or  am I just being too old school here?! :D I am quite satisfied with the school’s regulations as they are very organized. From the enrollment procedure up to dealing with the kids performance in class. Whenever I ring them up for some queries, they were always able to deliver and even accommodating. let’s see what goes around till the end of the school year.
