Been thinking for quite sometime if what are we going to put up on our window for shading purposes, we’re torn between a curtain or roller blinds. We might settle for the latter one as it is more convenient to clean up unlike the curtain types as you have to laundry and dry them up. Design wise, there are more new styles and features for light blocking purposes. I need to browse and see styles that will fit our window so that i can show it to DH for his approval. lol! So there goes another list for our home makeover.

With the many styles and designs that we wanted for our bathroom, we are having difficulty on what to choose. lol! If only we have the necessary budget, we would definitely choose the best among them all, but with a little budget now, we decided to look around for quality and yet very affordable bathroom furniture that we could find. As we have long started with the makeover, we were able to at least made some necessary adjustments as to other pertinent details like the space and maximization of the bathroom area, since we decided to take a part of the area to fill some space as extension of the bedroom it was moved to a more limited space but still comfortable enough to move around.

All we need to do is find some space saving furniture. Better Bathroom has been offering different kinds of them and have the nice stuffs at a good price deal. As I look around,I saw that some of their items were on sale. They have the necessary wide array of different types of space saving furniture which is what we really need, you will never go wrong with their product as the quality and price will never suffer if you take into consideration of getting one from them.

For the nth time our bathroom makeover has been set aside. With the recent happening that we have dealt with-vacation trips, kids school tuition fee and other household expenses we cannot prioritize it as of the moment. But still in the process of looking around to search for inspirations and other designs that we could use. DH and I have been discussing for quite sometime as to the products and theme that we would use. He wants the newly launched themes to use and I go for the contemporary style, but nevertheless we meet at some point and agreed that we’ll choose and buy quality ones though its a bit pricey.

One of the most dealt part is on choosing some toilet accessories, he wanted to buy at the mall and I told him that I will do some research first online and I saw that Better Bathroom is offering a wide array of toilet seats that we could choose from, the price is competitive against the ones being offered at the mall and have different styles and designs to choose from. Comfort and convenience are some of the points that we all have to consider when buying things for our bathroom as we will be spending a part of our time in which some people do consider having their “me” time in the bathroom.

I don’t know if its just hormone or what but been on the blues once again. Tired maybe?! I guess so, with the household chores, work on weekdays, attending to kids school needs-assignments, lesson, review. I only get to rest on sleep and its not always a complete one:(. I never get the chance to enter a movie house since last six years, the last time I had my nails done in a salon was seven years ago. The last time I went to bar with girl friends was  five years ago. Oh well, I all remember the lasts because it was the time before/ early days I got pregnant and embraced the world of motherhood. Not that I’m  complaining,but I miss my single days because I was not able to enjoy it then. It’s my family’s needs that goes in line first on my priority list now. That’s all what mothers are. Simple relaxation now is heaven for me, be it just being at our terrace in our patio cushions and unwinding under a nice weather sipping with my cup of coffee, or just plainly “me” time at the shower by myself, online time where I could-surf the net without somebody bugging me to go on some online game sites so that they can play

We can now breath loosely as we are done with the big chunk of expenses allotted for the kids education. We have paid and cleared off all our debts too. Now we can start to work on our house projects again as it has been set aside for quite sometime. Tomorrow we would start on installing the new toilet in our comfort room, need to change for a new designs and newer styles of wall and floor tiles , we need to canvass for hand dryers too this weekend as I suggested to DH that we put one next to the bathroom sink that we would want to incorporate for the bathroom makeover. This may be pocket draining again, but all to the beauty and comfort of our home we won’t think twice as quality is more important than everything else.

DH was browsing through updates on his FB wall when he called me to look at their relatives’ house makeover. We were so amazed with the new look of their house, in a very short period of time they were able to incorporate major changes already. We could no longer remember how the house used to look then, very nice furniture and designs have been put up. They were even able to put up a spa and would definitely be needing a spa filter for a better maintenance. The house would serve as a vacation house and would be open for relatives who would come over the country for a vacation. Hope we could go and pay a visit there soon to get a first hand experience of the nice amenities there

With the recent changes that we did to our room, a bedroom makeover that is! DH told me that we’ll put up first aid box with a complete First Aid Supplies on it. With two kids who are very active and hyper, minor accidents do happen once in a while. The typical bruises, mild wounds are usually what my kids get as they run around and play inside the house. I remember when my daughter fell off on our wooden garden chair and she instantly had a tooth extraction without any anesthesia at that very moment, very traumatic indeed and worst is we don’t have any first aid kit at that time to at least aid the flowing blood from her mouth.

So this time, we made sure that we have first aid kit to ensure that we are prepared for any type of accidents inside the house. During my childhood years, I used to play a lot and my mom would always scold me of not going home in time. It has been five years now since I moved at DH’s house when we decided to live together. There are times that I got confused whenever I received letters from Mr. Postman containing  a different house number, some are numbered 310 and others are numbered 13. DH told me that their Barangay council have implemented a project to change all the Address Plaques on their area and did created some confusion since the numbering doesn’t jive with the old ones which resulted to having two house number at a time.

And the house number assigned to ours is #13, in which DH’s late Mom doesn’t want to use since she was a Feng shui fanatic, as we all know number 13 is an unlucky number with them and in numerology as they interpret the number 13 into 1+3=4 which means death. So there goes the unlucky number, 4 and 13. Hence, the reason why she despise the use of the new number. We are now still using the old number 310 as I am not confortable using the new one.

It’s a good thing that Mr. Postman knew very well to give us those that are numbered 13. Late months last year, we started to do some makeover for the the house. We started with the kitchen, we did some repainting of the walls, put up some new tiles and bought kitchen stuffs. The realigning of water and septic line was prioritized as we’re having issues on it. To follow is changing and installing new kitchen cabinets. As for our bedroom, we decided to put up an access to the terrace from the bedroom, hence the removal of the other part of the window to put up a door. As for the other side of the window, DH decided to put up some glass tiles as you could see at the photo below.

We will be transferring the window to the other side of the bedroom where it will fit and serve its purpose very well, we will just be buying window blinds for it. Having a house makeover is kinda hard as it requires a lot of time, money and energy to arrived at a very nice look. But we’re not complaining though as it has been part of our long overdue plan. I did canvassed for some blinds at the mall but I am not satisfied with the designs and quality of those that are on display. Added to that is the price, its kinda high and it doesn’t fit our budget.
