Golden Presents

DH’s sister went to Hongkong a couple of months ago for a company outing. Of course we were given presents upon her return. At first, I thought those coins were Golden Eagle gold bullion, the ones that are being sought by coin collectors for it’s high value and rarity. But then again, those were just golden coated wrap chocolates. LOL! I like those lucky charms ath the background.

Tomorrow starts my official countdown to Christmas, hello December! I am not yet even done with my Christmas shopping list, I am pretty sure that we’ll be doing the usual shopping rush come the middle of the month because that will be the only time for us to finally get hold of our bonus

Shopping malls and other business establishments will definitely be implementing their strict safety measures to ensure the shoppers are well protected from thief. On a side note, DH’s BIL will be going on treasure hunting with his co-workers and friends couple of months from now and he’s requesting us to look around for some metal detectors gold on a shop near our place that specializes on the said item. I just hope that we’ll be able to find a cheaper one because it will be our Christmas gift for him.

Birthday Gift for Him

Two weeks from now will be DH’s birthday and I still don’t have any idea on what to give him. He’d been telling me that the cash gifts that he would received from his siblings abroad would be use for house improvement expenses and that we’ll just go out to eat in our favorite restaurant, no fancy celebration. We’ve been tight and doing some adjustments financially so I am thankful that we are still able to make it budget-wise to meet our daily needs. But that doesn’t mean that we have to pass out on giving him a gift on his very special day. Gifts don’t really have to come in a price tag as there are men’s gifts personalized for free that he’ll surely appreciate. Anything that that has his name on it (mugs, shirt, caps, etc)will be a delight for him, that’s how childlike and simple are his happiness.

Gift Ideas for the Holidays

Holiday is the most joyous and most celebrated season in a year. People around are in festive mood and the spirit of gift giving is observed. Malls and other shopping areas are filled with lots of shopaholics scouting for some discounts on toys and other gift related items. As for my list, since I only have few god children and all are in 5-10 aged bracket, I opt to buy them toys and lollies plus few hundred bucks For my relatives, it will be shirts, bags and beauty products. I even made personalized calendars with the photos I took during our vacation the province for DH’s sister based in Austraila. Too bad I didn’t bag the 700M plus jackpot in the 6/55 draw in LOTTO, so my plans to buy gold coins and American Gold Eagle Coins did not push thru. lol! I could have given them as gift items too. Ahaha. But on a serious note, I would still consider investing in one as it has been known for its intrinsic value.Will check on United States Gold Bureau for more details and info. With the unpredictable economic situation, we need to be prepare always.

A Special Gift

DH’s Aunt is said to celebrate her 6oth birthday a couple of months now. She’s been close to us and has treated DH’s like his own son. DH’s mom passed away few years back and this aunt of him stood as as mom for the rest of his family. Now that she’s reaching her senior year, he wanted to give a special 60th bday gifts for her. She may have the luxury of everything, but a little present coming from us will surely be appreciated by her. Knowing how she goes for collecting things, especially jewelry, I suggested to DH that we give this type of jewelry box collection from red envelope.

Actually there are plenty of other gift items to choose from. I remember before, she was asking me if I know some stores that offers jewelry boxes, so the idea came up. Now she doesn’t have to buy or look for one ‘cause we’ll have it for her.

This year, a lot of friends and some relatives I knew is about to give birth. So as early as now, I am already in search for some personalized baby gifts in which I want to give them as presents. We’re not yet done on clearing off our gift lists as I still have to go to work at least until four more days. I am just trying to squeeze in some time to check out some gift ideas online like buying an Acid cigars for our male relatives (Uncles usually) as it has always been their request for the past two Christmas season already. lol! Will hit the mall later after office. Hope traffic wouldn’t be bad! We’ll see, good luck to us. ahaha!

We are done wrapping our Company’s Christmas giveaways to our valued customers but the boss informed us that we still need some more gifts as the ones that we wrapped are not enough to cover all on the lists of of our customers. It will gonna be my DH’s very special day and I still don’t have any idea what to give him. I am torn between a bracelet or a watch, If only I have enough money I will definitely get both for him but that seems impractical as we have many expenses on the side. Or should I try my friend’s suggestion to give him one of those male enhancement products in the market, what could be his reaction?! ahaha! Oh well, whatever it is that I will give him, I know he will surely appreciate it as he’s not into fancy things. We’ll see… still got a couple of days to decide.
