Laze Around
Written by on February 25, 2010 – 10:48 am -During my childhood years, I used to play a lot and my mom would always scold me of not going home in time. She would always fetch me over at a friends house and would often see us just lazing around over at a rope hammock , I think every child loves it to bits and I dreamed of having it on our very own house. Now that we have enough and spacious garden at home, putting up one is never far from reality anymore. All we need to do is planning and setting up and of we go.
We are just tying to figure out on what particular type of hammock we would put up as there are different nice designs and styles that we saw from outdora.com, DH wants something similar to the ones he saw at a beach, those that are made of nets and ropes, maybe its because of the comfort that he’s after to as it is well ventilated and much more relaxed. But I wanted some hammock chairs like of this type :
Since we have two little ones in the house, a rope type might not be suitable for them just yet and the one above is the perfect one for us. just by merely looking at it, you could see that it’s made out of fine and quality materials, a soft lush cushions, resistant to mildew, mold and most important of all is resistance, there is also protection from the sun’s harmful UV rays so you wont have any worries even if you’re out under the heat of the sun. These outdoor hammocks are great for your garden, lawn or patio and are not just for accessory purposes but is also a witness for that bonding and special moments you and your family could have at the comfort of your homes, this could be great for relaxation.
Party at our House
Written by on July 18, 2009 – 1:16 pm -Everything’s already set for the party to be held next week, my SIL will be hosting a party for her office mate who will be leaving and transferring to another company. There will be 25 people coming over, and so everyone’s busy trying to fix things around the house. They decided that they will be using the garden since it was pretty large enough that they could all fit in. Not to mention that the ambiance is pretty nice since it has a little pond in there, perfect place to party with.
DH did the trimming of the grasses as it is quite unpleasant to the eyes already, he told me that it was here late mom that maintains the beauty of their garden’s when she was still alive. Her mom loves orchids and bonsai trees and would even hire services with the likes of those by the boston landscaping wherein it would really get attentions of their visitors. No one beats the perfect touch up of a landscape design. Oh well, those were the days! with everyone’s’ busy schedule right now it is quite impossible to maintain its beauty just as before. But we are trying now, especially that there will be a party.
Fixing our Garden
Written by on June 22, 2009 – 2:39 am -Since Daddy (DH’s Dad) passed away a year ago, our mini garden has been neglected already. Grass are getting taller and the fish pond’s water is getting muddy that some of the fish in it died. We were surprised that the mango tree bore it’s fruits last summer and we were inspired again to fix things around the garden, for sure Daddy will be delighted to see it once again in its finest look. DH was only able to cut grasses once a month with the help of a rustic hedge shears, it would take half day to finish the task, so imagine how he managed to fix it all by himself and how how tired he is doing it manually. We would be needing some wolf garten tools since Dad’s gardening tools have been eaten out by rusts and some are missing and not functioning well already, too bad that it really cost him much only to find out that it is no longer useful. Will definitely post before and after pictures of our mini garden once we’re done beautifying it.
