How To Register A Domain name
Written by on February 22, 2012I started blogging four years ago and just like any newbie into the blogosphere, I am somewhat lost when it comes to “technical” stuffs that comes with blogging and establishing one’s website.
But I am glad that I was able to get grasp of how things work around with the help of online friends and doing my own research on the web and keep up interactions on forums with fellow bloggers and learn few ideas and gain experiences.
I used to start creating my blog using free hosting platform. From there, the first thing I think of is the address of my blog and its title. I was able to start out fine and eventually learn the importance of how to build a website to make a space for itself into the world wide web.
Registering my own domain is the first step I took and here are the simple steps:
- Search in for a registrar where I would register my own domain ( in my case, I chose Godaddy)
- I have at the time “ My Online World” as the name but it’s already taken, so there are few suggestions to take.
- I took dez-myonlineworld.com
- Was led to different packages offered but didn’t go for any additions
- Paid domain through PayPal
- Waited for a few hours before my domain gets active in the web.
Now, I was able to get this blog an affordable hosting. Got also a Pagerank of 2. Somehow, I manage to establish building this website, but I know that there are few more things to do to make few positive build up more. Cheers to few more years in blogging.
