Off To Boracay

Written by on May 28, 2011 – 8:23 pm -

…not me! but my parents :) they received Summer Party Invitations from their relatives in the province, it has been so long since our father paid a visit to his hometown (Malay, Aklan) so our eldest brother gave my parents an all expense paid trip to Boracay for 9 days! How I really wish I could go with them, but there are too many things that I need to deal with here at home, especially that the opening of classes is about to start in a couple of weeks time. DH is sick too so there’s really no choice for me but to stay.

Just received a call from my sister a few minutes ago informing me that our parents have safely landed in Caticlan. But prior to that, mom was advised to stay for awhile at the airport clinic because her blood pressure went up at around 170/90. She was given some medicines to take and were allowed to check –in after a couple of minutes, good thing that the flight was delayed too so they were still able to fly on the same schedule. I just hope they won’t forget my bilins/ pasalubong.

Written by on May 28, 2011 – 5:10 pm -

1. When you were single, or if you are single, what’s the best way to look for love?

I guess there’s no need to look, just wait for “the one”, it will come.

2. Have you ever cruised online personals, even if you’re married for fun? What was the reason, or if you haven’t, why not?

Nope, I don’t see the need for one.

3. Have you ever put up an online personal? If so, how was your experience?

No.

4. Have you ever answered an online personal? If so, how did it turn out?

No again! lol.

5. Have you ever had a good experience with online dating? If not, have you had a friend/family member have a good experience? Tell us about it!

I haven’t, but some of my relatives do. One of them met someone through online dating site and got married. :)

6. Have you ever had a horrible experience with online dating? If not, someone else?

None cause I didn’t try going on an online date.

7. Back in 2004, a friend threw her husband out because she found out that he was having cyber affairs/sex with 2 women in states FAR away from them. Do you think that cybersex is actually cheating?

I think it is, though

8. Do you have any suggestions for someone as to how to stay safe using a dating service?

Don’t easily give in to being personally attach to someone you hardly knew on first meeting.

9. I’ve heard someone say, “There’s Match.com and then there’s everyone else.” Is this true in your experience or someone you know?

I actually don’t know. hehe

Gift Ideas for the Holidays

Written by on May 28, 2011 – 3:36 pm -

Holiday is the most joyous and most celebrated season in a year. People around are in festive mood and the spirit of gift giving is observed. Malls and other shopping areas are filled with lots of shopaholics scouting for some discounts on toys and other gift related items. As for my list, since I only have few god children and all are in 5-10 aged bracket, I opt to buy them toys and lollies plus few hundred bucks :D For my relatives, it will be shirts, bags and beauty products. I even made personalized calendars with the photos I took during our vacation the province for DH’s sister based in Austraila. Too bad I didn’t bag the 700M plus jackpot in the 6/55 draw in LOTTO, so my plans to buy gold coins and American Gold Eagle Coins did not push thru. lol! I could have given them as gift items too. Ahaha. But on a serious note, I would still consider investing in one as it has been known for its intrinsic value. Will check on United States Gold Bureau for more details and info. With the unpredictable economic situation, we need to be prepare always.

Weight Cautious

Written by on May 25, 2011 – 7:19 am -

It has been three weeks since I started on dieting. The first two weeks was on a strict no meat diet, it really gave a fast and noticeable result on me as there are no more catching on breath and I feel lighter. But I am now starting to get back to my normal gluttonous way of eating habits. LOL I hope that I would still be able to hold on to my strict diet or else I need to resort to taking nuphedragen for faster weight loss result. But good thing, I am now used to not eating too much animal fats on my diet. More fruits and veggies too, the only problem is, I still eat too much rice. I am now in the process of cutting down on my rice intake. Slowly… I know I am starting to get there. :)
