Melbourne Cup
Written by on October 17, 2009Relatives from other countries have been calling us since they heard what happened about three weeks ago when typhoon Ondoy struck the NCR. My SIL who is based in Australia was really saddened when she saw the damaged to our furniture an appliances though still very thankful that we are all okay. She told DH that Melbourne Cup is about to start in a couple of weeks from now and they are going to Melbourne to be part of its annual cultural tradition of the Australians, especially that his hubby is a very big fan of it.
I remember our late FIL who used to witness the said event yearly then, He said that it is a must see event as many people from different countries were participating too. This horse racing event even entails him to always get the latest Melbourne Cup Form Guide and place his bet. DH was very eager to fly to Australia to see and witness it too as he is also a fanatic of horse racing here in our country and watching it would definitely be one of his most treasured experience.
