Life’s Realization

Written by on September 30, 2009 – 5:46 am -

I still couldn’t get back into my blogging mood. The videos and news are really getting into me, was really affected emotionally. Added to that, our internet connection is still under restoration process. Still got some photos to share during the rage of typhoon Ondoy. But we all need to move on, get up and move forward ahead of us. What happened is another learning experience, a realization and an eye opener for each one of us. Let’s all take a pause and look at its meaning, we may have forgotten something. We always have to be prepared for everything, for we don’t really know what’s ahead of us. Most important of all is calling on God’s grace and guidance always. Prayers can really move mountains.

Wedding Thoughts

Written by on September 27, 2009 – 2:07 pm -

Whenever the topic of wedding is brought up, I couldn’t help but dream of my own perfect wedding. I guess its just but normal for every woman to feel that way. When I was still young, I told my self that I will get married when I’m 24. But now that I’m already 31, it still remains a dream. Not that I’m complaining but DH and I have plans of getting married in the near future, were just still saving for that perfect destination weddings that I searched on the net. I wanted a beach wedding, I find the beach so serene. I saw that Karisma hotels are offering them. From the foods, the lovely view and other perks that goes for a perfect wedding is well offered by them. I just hope and pray that our plans will materialize and achieved that dream wedding and savor the experience.

The Chair Test

I really enjoyed this one.

You Are Sophisticated and Well Mannered

You’re the type of person who can sit all day entertaining guests with witty banter.

You believe in presenting yourself in the best light possible. You like to be seen as classy.

You give a first impression of being upper class and even a bit snooty. And you’re the first to admit you’re a little guilty of that.

You are an armchair critic. You can detect quality easily, and you want the best things you can find.

Tired

Written by on September 27, 2009 – 1:48 pm -

It was such a very tiring and tragic weekend for many of us. But am glad that Ondoy is now gone. I really felt crying while watching the news awhile ago. There are many victims of Ondoy. But what’s good thing after what happened is that many people are still very positive about their views in life. Still thankful for having their second life. I feel for those people in the hospital, its not easy being sick and been given another challenge to face with. Hope things turn out well soon.

On Studying

Written by on September 27, 2009 – 1:38 pm -

My niece who stopped going to school two years ago is now planning to go back to school. We were all supportive of her decision as we all know how education is very important. Education will take you to a level where you could grow and helps you to get a brighter and promising future. I told her to just enroll in an online university, wherein she could still work while studying. She promised us that she will finish her bachelor’s degree. She was already in her 2nd year when she stopped schooling, She wanted to pursue her business course. Good thing that Capella University offers a degree program in business, so my niece won’t have a hard time finding one. Technology is definitely taking its toll and have really help education to get into a higher level. Digital education that is!

Think About This

Written by on September 27, 2009 – 1:32 pm -

There are two big forces at work, external and internal. We have very little control over external forces such as tornadoes, earthquakes, floods, disasters, illness and pain. What really matters is the internal force. How do I respond to those disasters? Over that I have complete control.

Unplanned Activity

Written by on September 27, 2009 – 1:27 pm -

Our plan of going to our parent’s place last Saturday didn’t push through and so the birthday celebration of my sister turned into a tragic experience. No thanks to the storm “Ondoy” as we
were too busy and in a hurry to save our appliances that were already floating into the flood water. DH shouted at us (we’re at the 2nd Flr.) that the water is rising too fast and it was already up to his waist. We were kinda late as our refrigirator were already floating at the kitchen. The sofa, which were already elevated into a high place floated still. My SIL’s bed were sinking already, their room were located at the ground floor. I even took a shot of the mess that “Ondoy” caused us. Look, seems like a scene from the famous movie “Titanic” eh. But despite the mess, we were all thankful that nobody among is harm, we were all safe. Thank God!

A Hit Business

Written by on September 27, 2009 – 1:55 am -

I remember during my college years when we are doing research on what business we would be doing for our feasibility studies then. We did a thorough research. and we have seen our classmates getting the same old subject that are mostly food and clothes lined businesses. We went to the mall to see what are things that are not yet being offered to the consumers, we arrived at the vending machines to be our subject. Our Professor was impressed because our idea was very fresh and unique. Since candy vending machines will be a sure hit to the children that in return will be the target market for it. And it didn’t fail as one of our classmates have taken the feasibility study into a full blown business when we graduated. She told us that the business is doing well and she is planning for an expansion soon. the vending machine business is a good business to start with especially for newbies as it it is only low maintenance, you can take full control of your time while doing the business.

Sunday Stealing: A Fall Meme

Written by on September 27, 2009 – 1:37 am -

It’s not really fall in until…

~ We only have dry and wet season here in our country.

What did you need to do in the waning days of summer for it to feel complete?

~ swimming

A person I know was wrong for me but about whom I frequently thought after a break-up was…

None

If you could only attend one major sporting event what would it be?

~ Olympics

Assuming that you write an anonymous or partially anonymous blog, by what non-physically identifying characteristics might you be identified in a bar?

~ I didn’t get this question.

Most blogs cover some sort of niche – personal, political, dating, culinary, etc. What topic, if any, would you like to address on your blog but doesn’t fit into your niche?

~ Politics.

If you could manipulate the time space continuum and give as many as three pieces of advice to a younger version of yourself, what advice would you give and to what age of you?

~ Teenage years. Be careful on decisions.

Who among your friends do you really wish had a blog because their stories, or perspective on something ought to be shared?

~ All of them because they all have interesting and enjoyable things to share.

If you were to take an e-cation (vacation from the trappings of our electronic world,) and assuming that employment obligations would allow it, how long of a break could you take? What would you miss the most, the least?

~ A day?! would definitively miss those blogs I frequently visit.

On September 11th of this year, I attended a couple of parties and was somewhat conflicted by the fact that this ignoble anniversary shall pass with it being just another day in the eyes of many (and in some ways my own eyes as well.) Thoughts?

~The world doesn’t stop evolving even if there are painful experiences that happens. Life goes on.

How high are your walls? Who was the last person to scale them? What tools should would-be climbers have on their belt?

~ This I don’t really know.

The sexiest thing a man or a woman can say to you (or has said to you) is:

~ that I am intelligent. whoa!!

Storm "Ondoy"

Written by on September 26, 2009 – 7:00 am -

is now letting its presence felt by everyone here in Metro Manila. Flood came inside our house again up to waist level. I just hope and pray that it will go away soon. I saw people swimming outside the street as there is no way out but to really go brave and the flood. My sister texted me that flood on their area is up to chest level now. Oh my, I just hope that Ondoy will go away now!
